Following the sudden death of popular Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee, who was found hanging in her house, Actress Rakhi Sawant makes a stupid plea to Government of India. In a dramatic media conference on Tuesday, Rakhi Sawant asked PM Narendra Modi to ban the ceiling fans in India to avoid Suicides.

“Main Chahti Hoon Ki Bharat Mata Ki Jai Zyada Zaroori Nahi Hai, Har Ghar Se Ceiling Fan Hatana Zyada Zaroori Hai,” (I believe that chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai is not as important as removing ceiling fans from every house),” Sawant said carrying a ceiling fan. She also said that these fans are the root cause of many suicides in India.

She further went on to urge people to use a table fan or an air conditioner instead. She said, “Whoever loves their daughter and their sister, I appeal to them to remove fans from their homes. Instead, keep a table fan or an AC.”

It was not clear whether there was a ceiling fan in the room where the media conference was held. Sawant, however, would have a slightly tough time explaining why several farmers with no electricity in their homes commit suicide.
