Baba Ramdev Jokes Why BJP Applied ‘Note Ban’ During Wedding Season And It’s Hilarious
Narendra Modi government on 8 November night announced the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 in India and as expected, it has created panic like situation for the common people.
The sudden move has created a massive cash crunch in the country evident from the long queues at banks and ATMs with people spending long hours in line to get cash.
While the Centre has taken a number of calibrated measures aimed at easing the pressure on the common man, its decision to ban the old currency notes of Rs 500 and 1000 has still affected some families organizing weddings this season.
Considering the problems faced by the common people, The Secretary of Economic Affairs, Shaktikanta Das, rolled out new guidelines.
Also, pertaining to the wedding season, the Narendra Modi government Thursday relaxed rules for the families planning marriage and allowed them to withdraw Rs 2.5 lakh cash given they fulfill KYC norms.
That is,
“For weddings, one person from a family can withdraw rupees ₹2,50,000.”

“Many in the BJP are bachelor’s…they didn’t realize it was wedding season…that was the mistake.“
Baba Ramdev didn’t just stop there, he even pointed out the good behind the government’s move in the wedding season.
“If they (government) had done this around 15 days or one month later then their weddings wouldn’t have been so badly affected. One good thing that has come out of all this…people cannot demand dowry.“
