The Jats in Haryana are protesting for reservation in jobs and educational institutions under the OBC category. For the last three days, the protests in various towns of Haryana have turned violent and the agitated Jats have torched several public and private vehicles.

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, who is a Jat himself has appealed to the people of the Jat community, who have been agitating for quotas, to maintain peace and engage in peaceful dialogue with the government.

In a series of posts on Twitter, the ‘Sarbjit’ actor addressed the issue in his native tongue Haryanvi and appealed to people to quit the destruction.

Here are all the tweets he has posted:

“The whole country has taken notice of your problems. Now quit all the destructions and move ahead with a peaceful dialouge process,” the actor tweeted.

“There is no need to be this crazy. Only proper dialogue can bring a solution to this problem. Don’t make it a political issue. Keep calm and peace. Don’t burn down your own houses,” he tweeted.

Randeep, 39, is currently busy filming Omung Kumar’s biopic Sarbjit. He will also be seen in Do Lafzon Ki Kahani this year.
