Sarbjit is an Indian Commercial Biopic directed by Omung Kumar. Aishwarya Rai Bachan and Randeep Hooda play the lead roles in the film. Aishwarya Rai plays the role of Sarbjit Singh’s Sister Dalbir Kaur and Randeep Hooda poses as Sarbjit Singh. “Sarbjit” is a biopic of Sarabjit Singh Aitwal, a farmer from Punjab’s Bhikhiwind, arrested in Pakistan for crossing the border on August 28, 1990.

It is revealed that the film is narrated through Dalbir Kaur’s point of view, the role essayed by Aishwarya Rai. This is the first time Aishwarya Rai Bachan and Omung kumar are  coming together.

“Sarbjit” is a biopic of Sarabjit Singh Aitwal, a farmer from Punjab’s Bhikhiwind. The film fails to establish Sarabjit’s character in depth. The film is focused on his sister and her struggle minus the political angle from the Indian side. Her two decades struggle seems to be literally put in a script that feels like decades for the audiences too.
