This was a shocking incident which was captured in CCTV in China on August 24th. The incident took place at ‘Mr Hot Pot’ restaurant. A 17 year old waiter doused a lady customer with boiling water when she complained about him. The victim is found as Lin, a 29 year old suffered with severe burns across her body.

Lin has come to the restaurant for eating lunch with her family members in Wenzhou, in eastern China. Lin has had an argument with one of the waiters in the restaurant about the amount of water added to her hotpot. Thus Lin had complained about the waiters’ service to the customer. The waiter identified as Zhu went to the kitchen.

He under frustration then came back with boiling water to the table and threw that water over Lin on her face and body. A CCTV over there had recorded the whole incident which remained as proof. The footage showed Zhu tugging Lin backwards on her chair, banging her head and kicking her.

The waiter was then restrained by other customers. The victim was taken to hospital where photographs of her injury reveal extensive damage to her skin. Most of the burns appear to be restricted to her face, neck, shoulder and back. Her condition is currently stable. Police has arrested Mr Zhu, who has admitted to the act.

Doctors have given treatment and applied gauze to the skin and bandaged it to prevent infection. Her condition is currently stable but it is likely that she will require further treatment said Doctors. Police had filed a case and it is under investigation.
