This Raksha Bandhan, gift social security schemes to sisters: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come out with an innovative drive for Raksha Bandhan, On sunday he called men to gift insurance policies to women set target till Raksha Bandhan. He said in the ninth edition of his radio programme “Mann ki Baat”.  According to reports, the drive enables the brothers to gift three social security schemes, Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhanmantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana to their sisters on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Earlier in June, Narendra Modi had said, “In August, we have Raksha Bandhan, we can begin a mass movement to ensure that all women and sisters of our country get all security scheme benefits before Raksha Bandhan.Recently in his radio programme “Mann ki Baat” he said let us start a campaign for social security for women… think of the women around you can help, whether it is a woman working as a maid in our house, or in our fields or whether it is our own sisters, we can ensure that they avail the social security schemes,” Modi said, appealing for financial empowerment of poor women.

Women Get Social Security Schemes Till Raksha Bandhan:

Modi According to reports, the NDA government has planned to combine its social security schemes on this year’s Rakhi. The drive enables a brother to gift any three social security schemes including Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhanmantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana to their sisters on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.The Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) offers a renewable one-year life cover of Rs.2 lakh to all savings bank account holders in the age group of 18-50 years, covering death due to any reason, for a premium of Rs.330 per annum per subscriber. This can also be seen as an endeavor on part of the ruling dispensation to help the women in an innovative way. Believing that an empowered woman is sure to lead India to prosperity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to gift financial security to his Indian sisters this Raksha Bandhan.
