A famous playback singer Sonu Nigam came up with the phenomenal idea in search of his happiness. After performing with the ‘6 Pack Band’ which is India’s first transgender band, Playback singer Sonu Niga once again come up with an idea to make his fans speechless.
Curious to know what happened. Sonu Nigam disguised himself as a beggar and sat on the streets of Mumbai, with a harmonium. His voice mesmerised people walking on the streets and many even stood in front of him to see him singing. But none could recognise him. He used prosthetics and makeup so that he could look like just another street musician, and no one would be able to recognise him.
Sonu Nigam dressed up as a homeless old man, sitting in one corner of Juhu with his harmonium, singing melodies. He had a simple tagline beside him: “Khojna kya hai, khushiyan yahaan hai” (Where are you searching for happiness, it’s right here).

Nigam explained that he did this experiment because he wanted to experience the small moments in life again. “I thought I should come out to present my music to all of you,” Nigam adds at the end of the video. The 12 rupees he received from his fan has also been framed in his office as a memento.
One young man, after his performance, asked him if he’d eaten anything, even offered him breakfast and gave him Rs. 12 as a mark of his appreciation. On Twitter, Nigam called the performance his “most surreal and uninhibited experience”.
