Telangana Govt Makes Srimanthudu a Reality:

Recently, in a public meeting CM K Chandrasekhar Rao along with BJP’s minister Prakash Javadekar announced that this will be his first visit to the place after he had adopted it. He promised people that he will visit the village at least once in a month and he is fulfilling it. The concept of the film not only inspired Telangana CM but now it also has inspired Telangana ministers, TRS legislators, MLCs and other public representatives along with rich NRI’s who are looking into villages to adopt as a part of the Grama Jyothi programme. By the time the government launches Grama Jyothi programme the success of the film would encourage people to adopt villages and help people to grow, said Panchayat raj minister K.T. Rama Rao. Srimanthudu affect: KCR touring adopted village

According to sources the programme is set to launch on Monday by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Gangadevipalli in Geesukonda mandal, in Warangal district. KCR has directed all elected representatives to adopt villages in their districts developing them into model villages. In this programme of adopting villages, the Ministers were asked to adopt up to five villages. The ministers who have been adopting five villages are ensuring that they select the village which can be developed quickly. While MLAs will adopt one village in each mandal in their constituency, MLCs have been asked to adopt their own village or any other village in their district for developing and making them into model villages.
