Singam 3 is one of the most anticipated movies of Suriya, which is the sequel to Singam and Singam 2 movies. The filmmakers of the movie have unveiled the first look posters and movie name on January 7. Suriya’s “Singam 3” in the direction of Hari has now been officially named “S3” and the film is coming up with the caption – The Universal Cop.

Written and directed by Hari, the film features Suriya, Shruti Haasan and Anushka in lead roles. Anushka has been part of the series since the first film. Comedian Soori has been cast in an important role. The movie is going to be one filled with action and will pack a punch on screen.

Suriya himself will be producing the Singam 3 movie and it will be releasing under the banner of 2D Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The movie is currently in pre production stage and regular shooting would be started this week in Vizag.

The combination of Kollywood star Suriya and director Hari has been one of the most successful in Tamil cinema. The film was actually planned to start its shooting in December but got postponed due to unpredicted rains in Chennai.

All these while the film was unofficially called as “Singam 3” as it is the third film made by the same team mainly featuring Hari and Suriya. Earlier, makers said that they are planning to change the title of this film. The makers’s decision to have a new name has come as a surprise to the audience.

Anirudh Ravichander will be composing tunes for the film.
