Telangana EAMCET 2016: Medical Entrance Test On July 9, Results On July 14
The entrance test for admissions into MBBS and BDS courses for Telangana students will be held on July 9 from 10 AM to 1 PM. Health Minister Dr. Lakshma Reddy finalised the schedule after holding a review meeting with the higher officials at the State Secretariat on Wednesday. The EAMCET-2 notification will be issued on May 28 and online applications will be accepted from 1st June.
The government had dropped the medical stream from the Eamcet 2016 in view of the Supreme Court’s decision, making NEET compulsory for all states for the medical admissions. However, with the Central government promulgating an ordinance for exempting few states from National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for this year, Telangana government is now conducting its own entrance test for filling MBBS and BDS seats in government colleges and in the convener quota of private medical colleges in the 10 districts of Telangana. The management quota in private colleges will be filled through NEET ranking.
Online registrations will commence from June 1 till June 7 without fines. However, with a late fee ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 10,000, students can apply for the exam until July 7. Hall tickets can be downloaded from July 2 onwards and results will be announced on July 14.
