Madhupriya, the child folk singer who got into international fame with her ‘Aadapillanammaa … nenu aadapillanaani, baadhapadakammaa …’ got married with her love (Mangi Srikanth) despite her parents disapproval. The wedding was held at the Kalyana mantapam in Sirpur Kagaz Nagar on Friday evening. The couple was in a relationship for almost two years.

The couple, who did not want to wait further, has put forth their plans to get married before their parents. Though the parents of the guy agreed for the wedlock, Madhupriya parents obliged saying it would spoil her career and this is not the right age to get married since she has a bright future.

But reportedly, Madhupriya was stubborn and determined to get hitched with her lover only. On Thursday, she informed the media about their marriage.

However, the latest reports suggest that Srikanth was attacked by the singer’s relatives on Thursday night and other unconfirmed reports say the singer’s relatives tried to kidnap her before the wedding. The couple has reportedly filed a complaint against the relatives with the Kagaznagar Police.
