Avantika, who has enjoyed the weekend and chilled out, thought to eat something. As she was indolent, she thought of ordering something instead of going out. She visited the website of Zomato and finally decided to order Bercos, Greater Kailash-1. A smooth experience to place the order and was given 10% of discount on the order which made her happy.

The food which she ordered arrived after 1 hour to the address. The delivery boy who looked like a guy next door was a little confused about the payment method being Cash on Delivery or Net banking. However, Avantika cleared the confusion and got back to her food. After thirty minutes, she received a message on her mobile with delivery boy apologizing for the confusion.

Firstly, Avantika thought that the restaurant has good service and are apologetic about even trivial confusion. The messages kept on coming and he asked her why her display picture was not visible. Seeing the way treating the customers and behaving rudely, Avantika decided to complain about the story.

Next day morning, she called Bercos and even got in touch with the Customer Relationship Manager. Even though, she got no proper response for them. Later when she got in touch with SHADOWFAX, the company that takes care of deliveries for Bercos, they were unapologetic and said, “Madam, he just asked for you picture and apologized about the confusion, what is wrong in that.”

Avantika then waited for the delivery boy to harass her more and then she filed a police complaint? Later, in a Facebook post that she had uploaded explaining her ordeal, Mr. Sanjeev Bhikchandani, co-founder of Info-Edge group (Naukri.com) who is an investor with Zomato, replied to the comment. He assured her that he will see to the issue and it will be soon resolved.

Later, Avantika was told that the delivery boy was fired. The restaurant officials didn’t apologize her. When a stranger who has your address and contact number, messages you for no apparent reason, it is an alarming situation for anyone. So, each and every girl out there, please react immediately and take initial steps whenever anyone facing such problems.
