Honey traps are usually made on the Higher officials to obtain sensitive and confidential information from them. It involves romantic or sexual relationships to collect information or for monetary purpose. Time and again Indian Intelligence Agencies are warning the Indian officers that Pakistani and Chinese agencies are using the woman to honeytrap the officials.

But looks like no one is paying heed towards those warning signals given by intelligence bureau. Recently one such honey trapping shocked the nation where it involved a high cadre IPS officer. A Ukranian model was recently arrested and the facts related to the case showed a probability of honey trapping.

Daria Molcha, a Ukranian model was arrested by Uttar Pradesh police team as she entered the country without proper papers. She was also involved in various crimes in the country and the police caught hold of her iPad, a fake driving licence and 1000$.

During the investigation, a picture of Dalia was seen with an IPS officer and his face was totally blurred. The STF had currently sent the pictures to forensic department for finding out about the officer. The officer in question is currently working as DG in West Bengal police and has held an important portfolio.

This officer was also involved in various other controversies where CBI and Central Vigilance Commission has investigated him in the past for his communication with Indrani Mukerjea who was the main suspect in Sheena Bora murder case.

This was not the first case of honey trapping in the country. Pakistani and Chinese agencies are trapping officials with good looking women who can speak good Hindi and English and slowly start adding the officials on Facebook or WhatsApp. They try to intimate conversations and then use these conversations to blackmail the officers to obtain sensitive and confidential information from them.
