Twitter Reactions on Jallianwala Bagh Massacre 96th Anniversary (1919): On 13th April i,e today, the Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation will mark the 96th death anniversary of the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh. Today April 13th is the bloodshed day at Jallianwala Bagh by the British imperialism in 1919.
All the members of the Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation will gather in the lawns of ahore High Court Bar Association and organize a candlelight vigil to pay homage to the martyrs.Chairman of Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation will speak to the audience at the gathering.
Mr Qureshi said, “He said Bhagat Singh was 12 years of age at that time and he had sworn by kissing clay of Jallianwala Bagh that he would get the subcontinent rid of the British imperialism.”
Jallianwala Bagh Massacre :
The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, also known as the Amritsar massacre, was a seminal event in the British rule of India. On 13 April 1919, a crowd of nonviolent protesters, along with Baishakhi pilgrims, had gathered in the Jallianwala Bagh garden in Amritsar, Punjab to protest against the arrest of two leaders [Dr.Satyapal and Dr.Saifuddin] despite a curfew which had been recently declared.

On the orders of Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer the army continued the firing for about ten minutes. Dyer stated that 1,650 rounds had been fired, a number which seems to have been derived by counting empty cartridge cases picked up by the troops.
