Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the joint session of the US Congress at Capitol Hill, Washington DC. In his speech, Modi spoke about the issues ranging from climate change to terrorism, defence and security cooperation to trade and economic relationship.
Congressmen and Senators from both the Republican and Democratic parties gave a standing ovation to the Prime Minister several times during his address. “There were many who doubted India when, as a newly independent nation, we reposed our faith in democracy,” said PM Modi in his speech.
