Tycoons Satya Nadella, Sundar Pichai in Silicon Valley Claim Support to Digital India

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had met with top American conglomerates and tech leaders during his whirlwind tour in Silicon Valley. Non-Resident Indian’s  Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Google’s Sundar Pichai and Apple’s Tim Cook were a few tech leaders who met PM Modi on  Saturday before moving for a digital economy dinner with 350 business leaders. A few other tech leader such as Adobe’s Shantanu Narayen, Qualcomm’s Paul Jacobs, Cisco’s John Chambers and The Indus Entrepreneurs president Venkatesh Shukla were also present at the event who met with PM Modi assuring their support to give a strong push to drive technological innovation in India.

PM Modi Meets Satya Nadella, Sundar Pichai, Tim Cook to Boost Technological Innovation in India

 During their official meet over the possibilities of extending the scope of business  and technological innovation in India Tim Cook said “We have a unique tie with India. Our founder Steve Jobs went to India for inspiration” with PM Narendra Modi. PM Modi who is on whirlwind tour of US to get huge technological investments to India had been foregathering conglomerates and tech giant leaders at various places during his tour.

To witness the path-breaking inventions on renewable energy made by the makers of trendsetting electric cars, PM Modi paid a visit to the Tesla Motors plant in Palo Alto, California where he was accompanied by the CEO Elon Musk. Mr. Musk quoted “Prime Minister Modi and I talked about electricity generation and how there are ways to skip ahead with it as with cell phones” briefing their meet.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted on twitter stating  “Engines of the future. PM @narendramodi takes a tour of @TeslaMotors, leading builder of electric cars.” Sources close to PM Modi have claimed he is looking ahead how to maximize the  opportunities at the digital economy dinner as many Indian nationals have working in forefront of innovation in the Silicon Valley. To be named a few Indian-American tech leaders who are about to attend the digital economy dinner include Cisco Chairman John Chambers, and Qualcomm Chairman Paul Jacobs.

Indian-American  Community Welcomes PM Modi in Grand Manner

Silicon Valley tour of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi started out the interaction of Indian-American community at Imperial Ballroom of Hotel Fairmont in California. During the interaction with of Indian-American community Modi met with well-known singer Kailash Kher where an Indian-origin women tied Rakhi to him. During the Indian-American community meet with Modi members of Sikh and Gujarati community were also spotted out extending warm greetings to the Indian diplomat. PM Modi was given at the Norman Y. Minte San Jose International Airport prior to the meet and was received by  San Jose mayor Sam Liccardo and his wife with state honors.

As usual supporters and enthusiastic crowds of Indian have been ascertained at major destinations where PM Modi arrived in US, changing the well known mantra “Modi Modi” to which he responded with his humble gesture of Namaste. Huge crowds of Indians were assured of eagerly waiting for the handshakes, autographs and selfies.

People of Indian origin have been spotted in many busy routes of Modi’s movement wearing tricolour scarves and waving paper Indian flags held aloft signs saying “We Support Digital India” and in a few places display advertises boasted  “USA loves India”.
