Veteran BJP Leader Ram Kapse Passes Away – RIP

The BJP party had lost a veteran political leader who did immense work for tribals. Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and parliamentarian Ram Kapse passed away early on Tuesday morning after a prolonged illness at the age of 82. Kapse, who was ailing for last eight years, breathed his last at his Kalyan residence adjoining Thane district at around 4 AM.

His last rites will be performed in Kalyan today. Kapse, born on December 1, 1933, was a former Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He joined politics in Maharashtra as a BJP leader and represented Thane in the 9th and 10th Lok Sabha. He was elected as MLA from Kalyan Vidhan Sabha constituency (85) of Maharashtra during 1985-1990. Kapse was also a professor of Marathi and taught the language at DG Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Matunga, Mumbai. Rambhau was one of the leaders who expanded BJP4India’s base in Maharashtra & always worked hard to solve problems of the common man.

Political leaders, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, paid their respects to Kapse.
