Veterans Day 2015..

“To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations.”

It coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world. Schools and Colleges in the United States will be closed on every Veterans Day. Veterans of the Foreign wars announced that there will be parades in each and every town and city.

The US Department of Veteran Affairs said that “Because there is no legal requirement that schools close on Veterans Day, individual states or school districts are free to establish their own policies on school closings. Most schools that do not close for Veterans Day schedule assemblies or other activities to honor America’s veterans on Veterans Day and throughout the week that includes Veterans Day.”
