A techie was thrashed by a mob after he allegedly stalked a 25-year-old woman and passed lewd remarks at her. He was tied to an electric pole on West Of Chord Road on Friday morning & thrashed by a mob. Sri Ramamurthy, the techie, working with a private IT firm and married with two children, is alleged to have repeatedly stalked the young woman when on his way to office.

“It is not the first time that he has followed her and passed lewd remarks. A few days ago, he did the same thing and the woman’s husband came to the spot and warned him not to repeat it,” a Basaveshwaranagar police official said.

But again, on Friday morning, Ramamurthy followed her. The woman, who was also on the way to her office, got scared when he came very close, and while on the pretext of talking into his mobile phone, continued to pass lewd remarks on her,” he added.

The police have made a case and let off Ramamurthy after giving him a strict warning against repeating his cheap act on any woman in future.
