Video: Chennai’s worst Rain in 100 years Batters City

Fresh spell of rains submerged Tamil Nadu yet again on Tuesday. Non-stop torrential rains pounded several parts of Chennai and its suburbs resulting in complete devastating the city. Rain touches down at Chennai airport, floods runway and even resulted in cancellation of flights.

The Chennai Corporation on Tuesday announced emergency contact numbers for all the regional zones in the city. The MET is predicting more rain in the next four days, the state government issued a flood alert on Tuesday. As the death toll in rain-related incidents reached to a shocking number of 188. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa reviewed the situation and deputed ministers to inspect the affected regions.
