Triggering panic among people in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand forest officials caught a leopard from a residential area. The leopard was trapped in a net after being tranquilised. Area resident Deepak Chandra said a woman was saved from being attacked by the leopard. The leopard jumped over the head of a woman while she was working in open area in her house a day before yesterday.

She was saved. But since then this leopard has been roaming around the city. Forest officials now trapped it. The leopard was in search of her two cubs in the city, while one was taken to the forest, the other is still missing, Chandra added.
