Vidya Balan’s Filmi Career : I was Considered as Jinxed in Film Industry

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan said she was going through a rough phase. In the initial struggle had a silver lining, her parents were not supporting, they did not want her choice to be in the films. Her family went with the perception of Cinema of being big bad world. She told her parents that she will do one film and I will quit. She felt at least one film of her should be completed.  Then she got signed for Malayalam film which was shelved.

Vidya Balan recalled a situation, When she was in shooting a song for ‘Euphoria’ (band). Pradeep Sarkar (director of Parineeta) who offered her the film, which she thought would not be completed. Vidya Balan did not believe him but she later did Parineeta with him.

Vidya Balan Labelled as Jinxed  :

After that they she has completed three movies, then was labelled jinxed. Vidya Balan said, she was thrown out of the film because of that.

Vidya Balan revealed. “When am growing i did not like my names. Every alternate girl had that name. My sister was Priya but still I liked her name.” Later I began to like it when a guy said Vidya is such old world name and you are old world charm, then I began to appreciate the name that my parents have given me.

Things that held me together is my family and my faith. I don’t pray to particular god but to the supreme power. I am eternally optimistic. I believe hard work will bring to stage you like, if the sun go down it has to come up.

Vidya said, “I came to the industry being a selfish odd girl. Thought I was the best actress ever born. Movie Parineeta convinced me.” What happened I didn’t recognise, but what ever I do was criticised. Slowly criticism started happening, It went to stage if I do or not I was criticised. I was completely confused.”
