Vijender Singh Became The First Indian Boxer To Register Hat-Trick In Pro-Boxing

Indian boxer Vijender Singh continued his remarkable winning journey in United Kingdom’s Manchester Arena. He registered his third straight win by defeating Bulgaria’s Samet Hyuseinov in Manchester Arena, England. Vijender Singh became the first Indian boxer to register three consecutive victories in Professional Boxing. He knocked out Samet Hyuseinov in the second round of the match.

With this victory, Vijender Singh remains unbeaten since his debut as a Professional Boxer in 2015. The first two victories are against Sonny Whiting and Dean Gillen.

  • On December 19, 2015, he knocked out Bulgaria’s Samet Hyuseinov in United Kingdom’s Manchester Arena, Manchester, England with 3–0.
  • On November 7, 2015, he knocked out United Kingdom’s Dean Gillen in Republic of Ireland National Stadium, Dublin, Ireland with 2–0.
  • On October 10, 2015, he knocked out United Kingdom’s Sonny Whiting in United Kingdom Manchester Arena, Manchester, England with 1–0.

Vijender SIngh hat-trick win in Pro-boxing

Vijender Singh was trained by the Indian Boxing Coach Gurbaksh Singh Sandhu. In 2009, International Boxing Association (AIBA) announced Vijender as the top-ranked boxer in under annual middleweight category list. In June 2015, Vijender Singh became a Professional Boxer by signing a multi-year agreement with Queensberry Promotions through IOS Sports and Entertainment. The Government of India awarded Vijender Singh with Padma Shri in 2010.

For this bout, I had done a lot of physical hard work and have improved my technique also which helped to win against an opponent who had the experience of playing 14 bouts. I was confident of beating him. My win is a Christmas gift for all my Indian friends and fans and I am feeling happy that I am ending the year on a winning note,” Vijender said.
