India captain Virat Kohli who yesterday (August 23) on Monday he congratulated retiring Sri Lankan great Kumar Sangakkara on a glittering career and said it has been his pleasure playing with the batting maestro in Twitter.

Indian Test captain Virat Kohli confined one of the longest farewell message for the Sri Lankan great Kumar Sangakkara to bid him goodbye. It was surely an emotional moment for Kohli as he said it’s been a privilege for him to play in the same era as Sanga.

“It’s been an Absolute pleasure knowing you as a person first and no words can explain your extreme cricket achievements. You have inspired many people and shown them the way. India defeated Sri Lanka by 278 runs on the 5th and final day of the 2nd Test to level the 3-match series 1-1. After the match, it was all about Sangakkara, who bid adieu to international cricket.
