Two days before International Yoga Day, a yoga camp with 35,000 participants was being organized on Rajpath, by India’s Natural leader Baba Ramdev. BJP luminaries such as Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, and MPs Manoj Tiwari, Babul Supriyo and Meenakshi Lekhi were also present at the event. Also, part of the yoga camp was singer Kailash Kher.

Ramdev became the star performer of the evening when he did his Asanas to Kher singing ‘Bum Lahiri’ — a peppy version of an old Haryanvi devotional song about Lord Shiva and Parvati. The yoga participants, especially the younger section, enthusiastically tried to follow his lead for a while, but then, matching Baba’s various postures seemed to be a tough task for them. The yoga guru definitely seemed to be having lots of fun.

Reportedly, very soon, the yoga disciples stopped doing yoga and began taking videos and selfies as Ramdev swung his leg over his head.
