In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old girl was abducted while she was on a call in front of her paying guest (PG) accommodation in Katriguppe near Banashankari in south Bengaluru.  In visuals captured on CCTV, it shows how a man coming up suddenly, scooping her up from behind and abducted her.

The victim, identified as Anusha, who is believed to be from Manipur, alleged in front of media that she reportedly screamed for help but no one responded. As per the victim, the man tried to molest her near an under-construction building. While narrating her ordeal, the victim said, “The man tried to rape me at a construction site but panicked when my screaming drew the attention of some people around there and then ran away.”

The victim reportedly works with a private beauty clinic in Kalyan Nagar. The incident took place on Saturday, April 23 at around 10 pm. The girl did not approach the police but described the incident on a local TV channel.

The police say that the CCTV footage is enough for them to act without waiting for a complaint from the woman, but the man has not been found yet.
