When PM Modi Started Following Arvind Kejriwal On Twitter, Whole Twitter Reacted
This Holi, our PM Narendra Modi, in a symbolic gesture, followed about 150 new people from his personal Twitter account. This included politicians like Ahmad Patel, Shashi Tharoor, Naveen Patnaik, Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi, Manish Sisodia, Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy, Shatrughan Sinha etc.
On the auspicious occasion of Holi, it seems like Modi wanted to set aside all rivalries and show a gesture of friendship who even started following Delhi CM and arch-rival Arvind Kejriwal on Twitter. It would be fair to say that Arvind Kejriwal and Narendra Modi are not known for getting along. The rivalry between these two politicos is quite evident, with one constantly at the back of the other and even getting abusive at times.
Arvind Kejriwall, who recently called the Prime Minister a “coward and psychopath” on Twitter expressed his gratitude towards the PM for his gesture and extended Holi greetings with hopes of better cooperation between AAP and the Centre. Here’s how Arvind Kejriwal reacted:
.@narendramodi Sir, thank u for following me. Happy Holi. आज गिले शिकवे भूलने का दिन है। Hope better Centre-Delhi cooperation in future

Deputy Chief Minister of AAP, Manish Sisodia, also tweeted to thank Narendra Modi for following him on Twitter. Since Delhi government and the Centre have been at loggerheads over a range of issues over the past one year, Sisodia took this opportunity to request Modi to ensure the clearance of bills passed in the last one year by the Delhi Assembly.
“Narendra Modi sir thanks for following. I convey my greetings on Holi. Making a modest request for people in Delhi. All bills passed by Delhi Assembly in past one year are stuck with Home Ministry, please pass them. Delhi shall be thankful for that,” he tweeted.

The message was later re-tweeted by Kejriwal with few pictures showing how he celebrated Holi with his party members and family.
Played holi wid my family, volunteers, ministers, MLAs, officers, autowallas n my dear junta. Happy Holi pic.twitter.com/yBlXKfOAT1

Though Kejriwal thanked the PM and hoped for better ties in the future, people weren’t going to end this just here and couldn’t stop trolling Kejriwal for his sudden love for PM Modi. See below how the Twitterati had a jolly time over this ‘patch-up’.
