Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor recently slammed Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV for claiming that he was involved in wife Sunanda Pushkar’s death. Calling the allegations false, Tharoor challenged Goswami to prove his allegations in a court of law.

Mr. Tharoor had a rather direct response to the entire matter and slammed Arnab’s channel with a tweet.

Tharoor termed reports appearing in a television channel in connection with the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar as “misrepresentations and outright lies”. These allegations just an attempt by the newly-established channel to grab attention.

He later shared another tweet which ignited Twitterati to go for it left-right and center.

Arnab Goswami’s return to television is the biggest invite for opinions at the moment. Many are already accusing ‘The Republic’ to be a right-wing propaganda. The channel had yesterday released a series of recorded telephonic conversations that involved Shashi Tharoor’s late wife Sunanda, his aide Narayan and reporter Prema Sridevi.

But, it wasn’t just Google that went a little crazy, Twitterati went berserk over his unique choice of words as well.
