3 Brothers get life imprisonment for murdering 17-year-old girl in March 2014

Muzaffarnagar: A CBI court on June 13, 2019, sentenced Rohtash, Sunil and Lalit, the three brothers who murdered a 17-year-old girl 5-years-ago.

Judge Vinayak Singh sentenced Rohtash, Sunil, and Lalit to life imprisonment for pleading guilty in Indian Penal sections 302 (punishment for murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault).

Judge Vinayak Singh also asked the 3 men to pay Rs. 1.30 lakhs each as a fine.

The three men have also been asked to pay Rs. 1.50 lakhs and Rs. 50,000 each to Suresh Pal and Anita, the parents of the girl.

The crime happened in March 2014, when the three men went into the house of the girl in Muthber, which is under the jurisdiction of the Bhorakala Police Station.

The three men fired shot at Suresh Pal and Anita, the parents of the girl, but hit the minor.

Darshan Singh, a Public Prosecutor, said that the incident happened due to a land dispute.

Prosecutor Singh added that the 17-year-old girl passed away due to the injuries she attained.

Rohtash, one of the three brothers, was also involved during the Muzaffarnagar Riots in 2013.
