A boy accidentally killed his pet goldfish after taking it out from the tank to hug it…

The boy, Everett Hamlin was about to sleep but wanted to give his pet Nemo, a goldfish some cuddles, but the boy did not know that taking it out from his tank would kill him.

Tori, the mother of the boy caught the moment in a photograph after she went into the bedroom of the boy to see if he is sleeping, but she noticed that Nemo was not in his tank…

After Tori searched the room, she saw Nemo in the hands of her son.

When Tori woke up Everett to break the news, the 4-year-old boy was devastated, he said that he just wanted to pet Nemo, his best friend.

Tori and Everett lives in Bonaire, Georgia USA, she said “I was shocked at first, but then when he said he just wanted to pet it I was thinking, oh my god, that’s so sad. I didn’t think it was funny that he killed it. He had no understanding of what he was doing. Honestly, I’m surprised he caught it. He’s got some good skills there. He loved the goldfish. It’s always been in his bedroom. He loved looking at it. He’s never tried to get it before it happened that night.”

Tori tried to explain everything again, Everett said that they’ll just get a new fish and this time he will not touch it…. He added that the only time he will touch a fish is when they’ll go fishing.

Tori and Corey, her husband, bought Nemo for Everett when he was just a couple of months old.
