A 52-year-old tourist passed away in Kedarnath after helicopter operators refused to give him an airlift to a hospital.

The 52-year-old man, who has not been named, travelled from Mumbai to Kedarnath, he was referred by doctors outside the temple to go to a hospital.

But, companies who provide airlift services in Kedarnath refused to bring him to a hospital even after the police told them to.

It is still not clear why the operators did not allow the man to board the helicopter.

The police and operators also got into a fight over the issue, the fight caused a major delay in their services.

Reports suggest that the man passed away due to lack of oxygen.

Helicopter services have resumed in Kedarnath.

No arrests have been made and no legal actions have been taken against the said helicopter operators.
