Padosan is one of the best all-time comedy classics. This 1968 Bollywood hit had many evergreen songs but one among them stands out. Who can forget that cult song ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ sung by Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey and picturised on Kishore Kumar, Sunil Dutt and Mehmood. But you
will be amazed to know that this is not the first time the song was seen on the silver screen! No, we are not joking. In fact, it was Kishore Kumar’s elder brother Ashok Kumar ((Dada Muni) who had sung this very song in the movie Jhoola released way back in 1941.
Even though the original song from Jhoola has been available on YouTube it became viral only recently when it was shared by Mahendra Jain, a Mumbai-based businessman some time ago evoking a sense of utter surprise and wonderment among many and arousing their curiosity.
