Police Report: The West Bengal CID seized a truck that was full of explosives in the district of Bankura, the Criminal Investigation Department have also arrested the owner and the driver of the said truck.

The Criminal Investigation Department received a piece of information about a truck carrying deadly explosives, acting upon the information that they received, the police and the CID officers intercepted the truck that was coming from Telangana on Saturday.

A spokesperson from the CID said that they have seized 65 boxes of detonators, 250 packs of gelatin sticks, and 229 bags that had 50 kilograms of ammonium nitrate in them from the truck.

The owner of the truck has been identified as 34-year-old Nishant Kumar who was arrested along with the driver of the truck after they failed to show the authorities with any proper documents.

34-year-old Nishant Kumar was brought to the local court by the police, he is a resident of the Giridih District in Jharkhand.
