Married 25-Year-Old Teacher Arrested For Having Sex With Her 17-Year-Old Student

A former high school teacher in Georgia was arrested by police officers after she was accused of having a sexual relationship with her 17-year-old student.

According to the jail records of the Gwinnett County Jail, 25-year-old Sarah Katherine Brooks was charged with a felony count of sexual assault by persons with disciplinary authority on Friday.

25-year-old Sarah Katherine Brooks allegedly had sex with her 17-year-old student from Archer High School, reports say that she gave him off-campus tutoring. Sarah was the PE teacher of the 17-year-old boy.

The mother of the 17-year-old said that his son and Sarah had sex 3 times since October 2018. The mother added that the teacher and her son had sex at their family home while she was at her work.

Ken Johnson the Principal of Archer High School sent a letter to the parents of the 17-year-old on Tuesday and explained that the police have been alerted after the officials of the school got to know about the sexual relationship.

25-year-old Sarah Katherine Brooks has resigned from the school.

Ken Johnson the Principal of Archer High School said, “On Monday we received a report about this situation and our school immediately contacted the police and the school district’s Division of Human Resources.”

“As this has been and continues to be an active police investigation there are not many details I can share. However, I can tell you that the teacher has resigned from Gwinnett County Public Schools and the school system will be forwarding information about these allegations to the Professional Standards Commission.”

“While this is not a situation we have experienced at our school previously, one time is too many. Ethics matter, and the trust our community places in its educators matters to Archer and to Gwinnett County Public Schools. This is not something we take for granted.”

According to the Gwinnett County Jail, 25-year-old Sarah Katherine Brooks was released on a bond of $11,200.
