Millions Worth Of Indian Treasure Found in Attic By British Couple

Usually, the attics in our houses are full of decorations, old shoes, curtains, or toys that we have not played with for some time.

But this is not the case with one couple, they found Indian Treasure that originates to centuries back, it is said that the artifacts are worth millions of dollars.

The artifacts are worth a lot of money that it feels like the couple won a lottery that is worth millions, the couple lives in a semi-detached house in Berkshire.

The artifacts were taken by their ancestor, Thomas Hart, who was a British Army Officer Major from the Palace of Freedom Fighter Tipu Sultan, a ruler of the Mysore. He took it after his defeat in 1799 to the Duke of Wellington.

The artifacts are expected to be worth millions of pounds if sold to the right persons at an auction.

In 2016, items that belonged to the Tipu Sulan were sold for 6 million pounds. Anthony Cribb, an auctioneer, said that this collection could be worth more.

Anthony Cribb an auctioneer said “It is impossible to put a price on these items but I would say this collection is more important than the previous one that sold. That one was put together over 40 years and came from lots of different places. But these weapons were picked up at the battlement by a military officer who was there and have been in the same family for 220 years. When I first saw the gun I nearly fainted. It is a once in a lifetime find. The owners are just an ordinary family who live in a Victorian semi-detached house. You could describe this find as like a lottery win for them.”

It is believed that the artifacts that were found include the gun that was owned by the Tiger of Mysore, the gun has a Tiger Stripe pattern, the gun was used in the last stand of Tipu against the British. The gun also has some damages to it, which was caused by a musket ball that killed him in the fight.

The couple also found a Firangi sword that is gold-encrusted, the sword has the mark of Haider Ali Khan, the father of Tipu and the previous ruler of Mysore.

The British decided to start a war on Tipu, after a British spy intercepted a letter from Napoleon, a French Leader, which said and was proposing an alliance with him against them.

After they defeated Tipu, the soldiers of the British army pillaged to the palace of Tipu and stole a lot of treasures and armories that are priceless.
