Police Report: A teacher in a government-run school in the district of Jajpur was arrested after promising to marry his colleague and raping her.

Umakanta Nayak the inspector-in-charge of Dharmasala police station said that 35-year-old Binod Bihari Sethy the headmaster in-charge in the government-run high-school at Sundaria was arrested on February 3, 2018, after a teacher filed a complaint against him.

Inspector Nayak said that the woman filed a complaint and accused the teacher of having a physical relationship with her for the last 3 years and promised that they will get married.

But on Saturday, the teacher assaulted the woman after she asked him to stay true to his word.

After the teacher assaulted her colleague she screamed out for help, the teachers present rushed and rescued her, she was admitted to a CHC (Community Health Centre).

On Saturday the teacher filed a charge sheet against her colleague, she did this after being discharged from the hospital.

The Dharamsala police acted right away after the complaint was registered, they arrested 35-year-old Binod Bihari Sethy the headmaster in-charge in the government-run high-school.
