4 New Multispeciality Hospitals To Come Up Around Hyderabad
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has given his green signal for the construction of four new 1,000-bedded multi speciality hospitals in GHMC limits. Mr Rao asked officials to identify land for the new multi-speciality hospitals. The new hospitals are supposed to come up in Uppal-LB Nagar, Malkajgiri-Secunderabad Cantonment, Qutbullahpur-Kukatpally and Serilingampally-Rajenderanagar areas.
To provide the best medical services to the poor and towards the steps for making Hyderabad as Global City, Telangana government has decided to set up there super specialty hospitals around the city in addition to the existing state-run Gandhi Hospital and Osmania Hospitals.
Further, he told the officials to construct a new building for women and childcare on the MGM hospital premises in Warangal and another multi-speciality hospital linked to Kaloji Health University there.
Telangana CM took these decisions during a review of the medical and health department as part of a pre-Budget exercise and allocation of funds for various projects under the department here on Saturday.
“Prepare a detailed project report soon. Purchase all the required equipment, recruit doctors and other paramedical staff,” KCR said. Health minister Laxma Reddy, finance minister Etala Rajender and senior officials of the health department participated.
