I support Aamir Khan Comments on Growing Intolerance in the Country and Here’s why

We all know the fact that many celebrities have been making comments on growing intolerance in the country. But the most notable actors of the nation Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan have made public statements about their opinion on growing intolerance in the country. Here please note down my word “Opinion.”

First let’s look at Shahrukh Khan interview that he gave to a reporter on his birthday. In this video interview, Shahrukh has apparently said a statement “There’s a belief system that overpowers your thought process for discussing or listen to others.”

You can watch the complete interview below:

Already many intellectuals in the country have returned their awards protesting against the growing intolerance in the country. But there were not many remarks on these people, though.

In a recent interview when a journalist asked the same thing to Aamir if he supports this protest by the intellectuals of the country then Aamir politely said it’s a creative way of protesting, and any protest that doesn’t have violence is accepted.

You can watch the complete interview with Aamir Khan below:

He also added saying that he agrees that there is growing intolerance in the country and once his wife asked to leave the country for the safety of their children and their bright future. We must note down a point here that “his wife suggested to leave the country and not Aamir.” So, putting the blame on him and lashing over him, how fair it is you decide.

Moving on what made Aamir make these kinds of remarks?

Example #1 Let’s get into the past, we all know that Aamir Khan has made a movie PK, and it has smashed all the records at the box office making it the highest grossing movie of all time. We cannot deny the fact that the film has a great story and shows about the intolerant India towards religious beliefs.

But this movie has been banned in several theaters, and many religious people have protested this film has offensive content. Due to this the movie has stopped from screening in several theaters for a day or two. Once a movie has already passed the censor board it should not be interrupted at any cost. If they feel there is offensive content, then it should be discussed with the board who has approved the movie and get the issue solved. But that doesn’t happen in the case of Aamir Khan.

Doesn’t an actor whose life is film and a lot of people depend on a movie success get offended because of such incident?

Of course, the above incident was long back, and let’s look at the recent issues prevailing in the country.

Beef Ban:

Eating or not eating beef is an entirely personal choice. For some Cow might be holy and some might think HEN as holy, that doesn’t mean it should be banned. Also, there are various civilized people in the country. Some eat vegetarian, and some do eat nonveg. The vegetarian people might feel offensive when they see or hear things about people eating nonveg. That doesn’t mean non-veg should be banned. It’s entirely a personal choice and one’s freedom.

But, Maharashtra government has taken a step further and banned beef. Also action was taken against the people who sell or eat beef. And in some bizarre incidents people were also killed for eating it. Where are we heading towards?

Isn’t intolerance growing in the country?

The above are just two incidents, we read/hear a lot of times regarding how brutally a woman raped. This has become quite a common these days, and we don’t hear one but multiple stories the same day. Rape has become a very ordinary act, and the culprit never punished.

Also, we have seen incidents of people taking the law into their hands, beaten and killed a person who accused of rape charges. But later it was known that he was innocent. But will we get back the dead person back?

Now tell me who says there is no intolerance in the country?

Things to clear:

We must all accept the fact that yes there is a growing intolerance in the country, and we need to do something to fix it. That doesn’t mean that we don’t love or like our country. We love our country, and that’s the reason we are pointing these issues so that they can get fixed over time and our future generation can have a real life. We all know even Aamir Khan has done several shows to fix the problems in the country, especially through Satyameva Jayate.

Yes, there is growing intolerance in the counry and that doesnt mean we dont love or like our country anymore. We are just concerned that its growing and needs to be stopped immediately.
